Mrs Lawrence believes that education is the key to empowerment and having choices for the future.
Mrs Eva Canute, relieving Assistant Principal Stage 3
I completed a BA at UNSW, majoring in Drama and French Literature, followed by a Communications degree at UTS, majoring in Writing and Australian Politics and History. Before I became a teacher I was writing and directing professional actors in plays for young people, which were performed all over Australia. When I completed my Master of Teaching in 2011 I was thrilled at how far education had progressed since my own school days.
There is nothing more exhilarating than the challenge of nurturing the curiosity, creativity and sense of wonder that children bring to the classroom. We call this all-consuming challenge teaching but I tend to think of it as conquering daily mountains. And just like mountain climbing, it is completely addictive and not for the faint-hearted!
I've been full time at Bowral Public School since 2013 and am passionate about this wonderful school and its community. I chose it for my own three boys because it simply offers the best teachers and learning opportunities one could wish for.
Mrs Libby Peisley, relieving Assistant Principal Stage 2
Libby completed a Commerce Degree and had many years as a corporate events manager prior to becoming a teacher in more recent times. While corporate events management was a great way to see the world she has found her passion in teaching and enjoys the challenge of meeting the needs of her students in a way that is supportive, engaging and fun. With her love of music and choral singing, Libby is currently involved in teaching Primary Proms repertoire to Stage 2, which she loves. Libby currently has 3 children at Bowral Public School and is passionate about establishing meaningful partnerships between school and home.
Mrs Michelle Jacobs, Relieving Assistant Principal Stage 2
After a long and interesting journey in education I have found my way to Bowral Public School. I am thoroughly enjoying the privilege of learning with the students at Bowral. Whilst I am passionate about teaching and learning, I am equally as passionate about quilting, my bonsai babies and learning Italian. I have two grown up children, the loves of my life.
Mrs Jane Bell, Assistant Principal
Mrs Bell is currently on extended leave from Bowral Public School.
Mrs Jane Bell grew up in Bowral and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Her four children, Tim, Sarah, Nick and Jon all attended Bowral Public School from 1991 to 2010.
Mrs Bell loves teaching and sets high expectations for her students, encouraging them to strive to achieve to their potential and do the best they can in a wide range of areas. She especially loves preparing Year Six students for high school.
She is the school sport co-ordinator and strives to ensure all students at Bowral Public School have a wide range of opportunities to participate in sport, both in competitions and for fun.
In her spare time she likes gardening, reading, the beach and watching her kids play sport.
Mrs Molly Ayling, Assistant Principal Early Stage 1
Mrs Melissa (Molly) Ayling has been teaching for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Education K-6 obtained from the University of Technology, Sydney. Mrs Ayling has taught all grades K-6 and enjoys teaching them all.
Mrs Ayling grew up in Sydney. Her first and only big move was at the beginning of 2014 when she and her family moved to Bowral. Mrs Ayling would find it really hard to move back now, she loves it here. One of her 3 children, Katie also attends Bowral Public School.
Mrs Ayling enjoys shopping, running, hockey, netball and skiing. Not to mention going and cheering on her children at their sports on the weekends.
