Meet our P&C 2017

Averil Cutroni

Averil Cutroni,  President

My association with Bowral Public School began in 2012, with my eldest son starting kindergarten. Now, all three of my children attend here, in Years 5, 3, and Kindergarten. I am very passionate about including and representing our parent body and working with the school to provide the best possible outcomes for all of our children. With money raised from various fundraising events throughout the year we can give back to the school so that the children can benefit from even better resources and facilities. Being a part of our P&C also gives me the opportunity to meet other parents and welcome new families to the school. The community spirit here makes our school very special, and I'm proud to be a part of it.

My children first started at Bowral Public in 2014 and I have been actively involved in the P&C and other aspects of school life since then. I am passionate about providing our children with a wonderful learning environment and giving teachers as much support as possible to work their magic!

Alison Courts, Vice President

2017 is my first year as a parent at Bowral Public School with my eldest of 3 daughters having just started Kindergarten. It is not my first association with the school however, as I attended myself from Kindergarten to Year 6 between 1986-1992. I had such a wonderful experience as a student during these years and I am very excited to be able to have my own children now at the school. I was very honoured to take on the role as Vice President of the P&C and look forward to representing the parents and being involved with the school for many years to come.

Kay Paviour

Kay Paviour, Executive member

I have been a member of the Bowral Public school community since Alex started in 2006, Meg is currently in Yr 4.
I was fortunate to have been a previous President of BPS P&C. The experiences I was privileged  to be involved in were very insightful. I remain as a representative on the Project Reference Group for the new building works.
As a graduate of public education, I continue to have a deep passion for the opportunities that are available to our children. The skills and resilience the children develop will remain with them through future education and life.
BPS P&C is a dynamic, supportive and dedicated group of parents with a common theme. We strive to supplement our children's educational opportunities with fundraising, so that resources are available to all. Having an input into our children's education is very rewarding.

My first child started at Bowral Public School in 2008 and my youngest started in 2015.  My children love their school and I enjoy being part of the school community and encouraging my children to be proud of their school.  I believe it takes a community to raise a child and it is important for everyone to use their talents for the benefit of others.
